Obituary for Lily Marlene States

Lily Marlene States, 51, of Clymer, unexpectedly died at her home Monday, February 20, 2017. Born May 7, 1965 in Indiana, she was the daughter of Judith Fishel, Indiana and the late Robert States.

Lily was a 1983 graduate of Penns Manor High School. She briefly served in the U.S. Army following her high school graduation. She previously was employed at the Homer City generating station.

She enjoyed watching her son, Vincent play football when he was younger. She still liked to toss the football and basketball around with him at home. Lily was an avid basketball player while in school at Penns Manor. She also enjoyed kayaking, fishing and cooking. Another interest of hers was automobiles. She had an appreciation of many cars and trucks both old and new.

Lily is survived by her son, Vincent A. States whom she lived with at home. She is also survived by her mother; brother, Rodney States, Diamondville; aunt, Jude Hardy, Diamondville; aunt, Erlamond “Sis” Conrad, Ohio; uncle, Howard Fishel, Gallitzin; niece, Tina States, Clymer and nephew, Austin States, Diamondville.

In addition to her father, Lily was preceded in death by: brothers, David States and Cloyd “Pooch” Fishel; uncle, Edward Fishel; aunt, Dolores Bruton; maternal grandparents, Cloyd and Lilly Fishel; paternal grandparents, David and Anna States.

Friends will be received Friday, February 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer where her funeral service will begin at seven o’clock Friday evening. Burial will be private.

Her family requests that a tree be planted in memory of Lily.
