Obituary for Dolores Sbatella

Dolores “Dee” Sbatella, 83, of Dixonville, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at St. Andrew’s Village. Born in Dixonville, September 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Vincent James Sbatella and Lena (Caputo) Sbatella.

She attended the Green Township High School and afterwards attended the Cambria-Rowe Business College for her business degree. She worked at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and then at the Indiana County Assistance Office. Dolores then went on to become a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and a Major in Pastoral ministry. She became an Ordained Minister and Chaplin for Witmer Associates and The Rampmaster.

Preaching and demonstrating the love of God was a big part of Dolore's life. She was a traveling evangelist and taught bible studies including at Chester County Prison.

She is survived by her brother John Sbatella and wife Margaret, N.Royalton, OH, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her sisters: Louise Thornton, Lucy Falcone, Irene Kodman, Elsie Paytash and several infant siblings.

Friends will be received Monday, October 9th from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday October 10thfrom 10-11AM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at the funeral home at 11 AM. Albert Kodman will officiate.
