Obituary for Anne C. Benamati (Clements)

Ann Clements Benamati, 89, of Homer City, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Brodor) Clements born on February 6, 1924 in Homer City, PA.

Ann was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Lucernemines and also the Rosary Society. She loved to garden and to do needlework. Her homemade raviolis were a favorite at family reunions and her grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed learning to make some of her ethnic favorites.

Ann was a loving friend, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her devotion to family extended to nieces and nephews and their children as well. "Auntie Ann" was much loved in return.

She is survived by two children, Dennis C. and wife Evelina of Nassau, NY; Mary L. Schreyer-McDonald of Duncansville, PA; one sister, Jennie Young of McLean, VA; seven grandchildren: Suzette Wood, Alicia Benamati, Marcus Benamati, Philip Schreyer, Brian Schreyer, Brady Schreyer, Jessica Taylor and 13 great grandchildren.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas G. Benamati; two brothers and four sisters: Frank and Charles Clements, Frances Mesojedec, Agnes Morganti, Mary Clements and Edith Semuskie.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Indiana also on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Ann’s Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lucernemines. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cemetery.
