Obituary for Edna Janet Freedline
Edna Janet “Jan” (Painter) Freedline, 81, of Indiana, died, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Jan was born September 1, 1937 to the late Harlan Doul Painter and Mary Bettie (Tyger) Painter Slavick. She was the widow of Myron Freedline, they were married for 36 years.
Jan was of the Christian faith and had a wonderful uplifting relationship with Jesus Christ. It was important to Jan to make everyone smile with encouragement.
She will be remembered by her two children: Douglas Freedline (Ann), Indiana; and Linda Michael, Indiana. She will also be missed by her grandson, Matthew Michael (Debra), Alexandria, VA; her sister, Beverly Painter, Indiana; and her beloved friend, Margaret Sekerak.
Private burial was held. The Freedline family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
