Obituary for Eva Johnston-Pugh

Eva Alberta Johnston-Pugh, 54, of Idamar, unexpectedly died Friday, November 5, 2021 at her home. Born October 11, 1967 in Indiana, she was a daughter of Harry Kenneth Johnston (Diane) of Coudersport; and the late Lois Jane (Horvath) Johnston.

Eva was a 1986 graduate of Purchase Line High School. She also graduated from the Cambria Rowe Business School where she earned a degree in Micro Computers.

She previously worked as an accountant in the business offices of the Keystone Power Plant in Shelocta. She also tended bar at the Clymer Slovak Club.

Eva was an excellent pool player. She loved watching gameshows and playing scratch off games. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Bubba”.

In addition to her father, Eva is survived by her husband, James Pugh, of Clymer; and her children: Adam Johnston and his wife, Kimberly of Barr Slope and Chaney Pugh, of Dixonville. Other survivors include her 11 grandchildren; her sister, Helen J. Johnston-Sopo, of Idamar and a cousin, “Chucky Boy” Everett of Idamar.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Jane (Horvath) Johnston and by her grandparents, Adam and Alberta Horvath.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are with the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory of Clymer.
