John Richard Kennedy, 76, of Indiana died Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. Andrew’s
Village in Indiana. Born May 3, 1947 in Indiana, he was a son of the late Richard J.
Kennedy and Florence (Moorhead) Kennedy.

John was a graduate of Indiana High School. He retired from the Sears store at the
Indiana Mall and he had worked previously at Penn Parts and McCreary Tire. In his
retirement, John served as a host at the Jimmy Stewart Museum, a job he truly loved.
He was a member of the Allied Club, the Eagles Club and the Moose Club, all in
Indiana.

John is remembered by his son, John Richard Kennedy, Jr., of Indiana. His surviving
siblings are: Thomas F. Kennedy and Joseph P. Kennedy (Janice), all of Indiana, and
Christine J. Kennedy, Morgantown, WV. Other family members include his nieces,
nephews and his great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Andrew’s Village and the VNA/Hospice
for their compassionate care.

Friends are invited to a gathering in John’s memory on Saturday, April 20th from 3PM
to 5PM at the Allied Club of Indiana (432 Philadelphia St). A private burial will be
held at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Service arrangements are with the Rairigh-Bence
