Joseph Victor Receskey, 59, of Clymer (Barr Slope), PA, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.



A son of Joseph Raymond and Helen (Wannett) Receskey, he was born on September 1, 1950, in Indiana, Pennsylvania.



Mr. Receskey was a loving father and grandfather. He had worked as a laborer for the Mears Coal Tipple. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.



He is survived by four children: Charles Schmittle and wife Tammy of Cherry Tree, PA; Bobbi Jo Receskey of Indiana, PA; Julie Receskey of Texas; Sabrina Duck of Punxsutawney, PA; six grandchildren: Trey, Jarvis, Erica, Jozy, Kaylee and Charlie; a brother, Robert Receskey and wife Grace of Cherry Tree, PA; and special friend, Shirley Wright.



He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Joseph “Joey” Receskey.



Friends will be received at the Bence Funeral Home in Clymer from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Kruthaupt officiating. Interment will follow in Rowley Cemetery in Montgomery Twp., Indiana Co.
