Katherine Pearl (Brown) Boyer, 85, of Indiana died on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 13, 1938 in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Oscar D. and Elsie E. (Isenberg) Brown. Katherine was the wife of the late Ira C. Boyer, Jr. who died August 11, 2015. They married July 13, 1958 and enjoyed 57 years together as husband and wife.

She enjoyed taking vacations with her family but especially loved spending time with them at Ocean City. Katherine would often sit on her deck watching the hummingbirds and taking in all of nature. She spent every Tuesday morning having breakfast with her friends. Katherine enjoyed watching her favorite game shows and Fox News on television. She was an avid sports fan.

Katherine is survived by her children: Brian (Patty) Boyer, of Creekside; Beth Boyer, of Indiana; and Bradley (Marcia) Boyer, of Indiana. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Laetitia Woodson, Ethan Boyer, Madison Boyer, Jimmy Gardner and Michael Gardner; as well as her 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Bonnie Jean Boyer; and stillborn daughter: Doris Jean Boyer; and sister LaRue Flemming.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 22nd from 10until noon, the time of her service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, Indiana. Pastor Kim Betz will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
