Obituary for Leon R. Miller

Leon Ray Miller, 60, of Cookport Road, Commodore, died at his home with his family by his side
on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Born March 13, 1963 in Chardon, OH, he was a son of
Emma Miller, Glenford, OH and the late Wayne Miller. He was the husband of Alta B. (Peachey)
Miller whom he married March 14, 1986.

In 2000, Leon founded Cherry Tree Builders, a construction company where he worked until
earlier this year when his illness was discovered.

He was a longtime member of the Hillsdale Mennonite Church

Leon spent most of his time working, helping others, and spending time with his family. He thoroughly
enjoyed planning and attending family reunions, producing maple syrup, doing his own mechanic work,
and raising beef cattle.

In addition to his wife and mother, Leon is survived by his children: Ruthy Brubaker (Amos), Costa Rica;
Mathias Miller, (Stephanie), McVeytown; and Grace Blake, (Trent), Gotebo, OK. Other survivors include
his seven grandchildren with two more on the way, and many nieces and nephews. He also has eight
surviving siblings: Donna Byler (Enos); Anna Mary Yoder (Leroy); Esther Esh (Ervin); Vernon Miller
(Josephine); David Miller (Arlene); Mark Miller (Ella); Joel Miller (Brenda) and Rhoda Troyer (Dwight).

He was preceded in death by his father.

All visitation and funeral services will be held at the Hillsdale Mennonite Church, 1369 Fleming
Summit Rd., Commodore, PA 15729. Public visitation will be Friday, September 22nd from 1 to 3
and 5 to 7 PM. His funeral service will be Saturday morning at 10 AM. The officiating clergy will
be Luke Kurtz, Daniel Beiler, and Ervin Esh. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.

The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory of Clymer is assisting with the service
arrangements.
