Obituary for Mary Woods
Mary Joyce (Jones) Woods, 83, of Indiana, PA, passed Friday, March 25, 2022 at her residence. Born, May 29, 1938 in Smithfield, KY, she was a daughter of the late, Arthur Lee Jones and Amanda Dallas (Allnutt) Jones. She was the widow of Rev. William Bounce Woods.
She was a devout wife and loving mother who supported her husband’s ministry and helped to raise four children. She read her bible and prayed daily. She enjoyed listening and singing Gospel music and was known by many as a “Prayer Warrior”. She always prayed for others. As of late she enjoyed watching YouTube videos that featured camping, cooking, and Gospel music.
She is remembered by her children: Malinda Woods, Indiana, PA; David Woods, Bartow, FL; Dale Woods, Lakeland, FL; and T.J. Woods, Auburndale, FL.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her thirteen brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her childhood family.
A memorial service in Florida will be scheduled for a later date.
