Obituary for Pamela J. Johnson-Rhoades (Patterson)

It is with profound sadness we share the passing of Pamela J. Johnson-Rhoades, 65, of Indiana. Pamela went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 4, 2020 following a prolonged illness. She passed at home, surrounded by loved ones.

A daughter of the late Richard L. Patterson and Virginia (Jeanne) Pitzerell Patterson, she was the beloved wife of William G. Rhoades, whom she married on July 29, 2011.

Pamela worked as Chief Financial Officer for McGregor Motors Corp. for 38 years until the dealership closed, and most recently as a self-employed Notary Public.

She was a lifelong member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church.

Pam enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping, going to casinos, traveling to Walt Disney World and visiting the ocean. She loved spending time with her family, and most especially supporting her granddaughter at cheer competitions.

She will forever be remembered by her children Shannon L. Johnson, of Indiana; and Michael Rhoades and fiance Melinda Zavolta, Indiana.

Pam was the cherished sister of Richard C. Patterson and wife Meg, Indiana; Cynthia L. Campbell, Indiana; and Nancy L. Uhron and husband John, Shelocta.

She was the adored Nana of grandchildren Kailyn T. Diaz, Indiana; Joseph Rhoades, Homer City; Mia Rhoades, Indiana and Mitchell Michalek, also of Indiana.

She will be sadly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Cote Rhoades, and her beloved dog
Randolph.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Four Footed Friends 220 Beck Rd. Indiana 15701.

Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation and service arrangements are private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Cremation services will be provided at the Rairigh-Bence crematory under the direction of Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana.
