Obituary for Patsy Lucille Semelsberger (McCullough)

Patsy L. (McCullough) Semelsberger, 82, of Homer City, died Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Born March 16, 1941 in Heilwood, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Imogene (Blystone) McCullough. Patsy was the wife of Edward Semelsberger, they spent 62 years together.

She graduated from Pine Township High School and went on to work as a receiving clerk for K-Mart and worked her way up to a sales manager until retiring in 2002.

Patsy enjoyed shopping, crafting, reading, and walking. Most importantly, she loved traveling to Ocean City and Myrtle Beach with her family.

She was a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels, delivering to neighbors and friends in the Homer City area. Patsy attended Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Lucernemines.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Edward Semelsberger, of Homer City; and children: Scott Edward Semelsberger (Carolyn) of Northern Cambria and Lori Ann Semelsberger of Indiana. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren: Alexa Brown (Matthew), Brooke Corrente (Corbin), Caroline Semelsberger and Scott Semelsberger; her sister: Bonnie Hicks (Tim) of Northern Cambria.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ivan McCullough.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, January 27th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines. Rev. John A. Pavlik, OFM Cap., celebrant. Burial will be scheduled at a later date.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Asera Care Hospice for the comfort and care they provided to Patsy and her family.
