Mae was born August 29, 1919 in Clymer to Alex and Elizabeth (Simm) Dixon. On November 26, 1941 Mae married Joseph L. Geary, also of Clymer. She felt blessed to have had eight children and she cherished them and their families as her most precious gifts from God.

Mae will always be remembered for her caring, loving and giving ways, for her thoughtfulness to family, friends and others…for the thousands of cards and letters ….for the breads she baked and gave to so many for so many years…. For her fun loving spirit, especially dressing up every Halloween in costumes designed by her daughter, Kathy. …For her religious faith and commitment and support to (St. Anthony) Church of the Resurrection where she was a parishioner for more than 70 years and a member of the Christian Mothers.

Mae was one of the original members of the Twolick Valley Senior Center in Clymer, where she proudly spent more than 25 years volunteering and helping others.

Her family expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to our sister, Mary and her family Jim, Kate and Rita, for welcoming Mae to their Nashville home and providing her with the most loving and generous care; to Mary Lou Hayduk, dear friend, who was always there for Mae regardless of circumstances; to Dr. Drozdiak and his staff of Clymer Family Medicine for the many years of excellent care and to her many friends and neighbors whose countless acts of kindness and generosity gave joy to her life .

Mae was most proud of her family and is survived by her eight children: Louise Bauer (Jack), Pittsburgh; Linda Sullivan (George), Charlotte, NC; Bob (Nancy), Clymer; Kathy Coy; Holden, A; Joe (Nancy), Indiana; Mary Pfeiffer (Jim), Nashville, TN; Ed, Boston, MA, Rick (Laurie), Raleigh, NC ; her grandchildren: Steve (Chris), Dave, Kathy (Bauer) Bello (Mike); Darla (Bauer) and Mike Bachner.
