Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory proudly honors each and every U.S. Military Veteran for the honorable services they performed in the name of freedom. As a funeral home, we try to go above and beyond to recognize the service of each veteran.
To begin the process of applying for veteran death benefits, we first need to obtain the soldiers military discharge, better known as the DD-214. Typically, that document can be delivered by the next of kin or retrieved from the county veterans office (if the discharge had been previously filed in that office).
Not every veteran is eligible for the same benefits. Here is a listing of some of the benefits we have helped veterans families obtain:
We proudly display the U.S. Flag by the casket. We drape the U.S. Flag over the closed casket and we display two U.S. Flags on the front of the hearse en route to the cemetery.
If you have any questions pertaining to the information listed above, please call Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory: 724-349-2000 or 724-254-4342.
