Obituary for Ashley Ann Misterka (Pribicko)

Ashley Ann  Misterka (Pribicko)
Ashley Ann (Pribicko) Misterka , 32, of Penn Run passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 2, 1984 in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

She graduated from Robert Morris University majoring in corporate communications and the Indiana Area High school. Prior to her illness she was employed at Lifesteps in Indiana as a community relations representative. She also worked as a morning newscaster for Renda Broadcasting in Indiana, and worked at WTAE TV in Pittsburgh.

Ashley loved life. Wherever Ashley went she touched people’s lives with her friendly personality, unique perspective, and positive attitude. She had a determined and strong spirit that was admired by all. She was always ready to attend or plan a party with family and friends and cared strongly about others well being. Ashley was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed flowers, decorating, and gardening. She loved to travel with Adam and was always ready to shop. Spending time with her grandparents and niece was very important to her.

She is survived by her husband Adam Misterka of Penn Run, parents, Gerald and Beverly Pribicko of Indiana; father/mother-in-law, Bernie and Bonnie Misterka of North Huntingdon; brother, Andrew Pribicko and wife Jessica of Blairsville; sister-in-laws, Niki Misterka, Missouri and Mollie Pribicko, Homer City; niece, Elizabeth Pribicko; maternal grandparents, Charles and Mildred Altemus, Penn Run; and special friends, Lara, Abby, Devon, Stephanie, Ashley, Stephanie and Christina as well as many special cousins.

Preceding Ashley in death were her brother Aaron Pribicko and paternal grandparents Paul and Margaret Pribicko.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service in honor of Ashley on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Penn Run. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana is assisting with the service arrangements.

Ashley requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heaven on Earth NOW, Sweet Ashley Fund, P.O. Box 33938, Northglenn, CO 80233 to assist lung cancer patients with housing during treatment.
