Obituary for Daniel George Wolfe

Daniel George  Wolfe
Daniel George Wolfe, 81, of Penn Run, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 while residing at the Live Well Estate Personal Care Home, Hillsdale. Born, October 18, 1933 on the family farm in Cherryhill Township, he was a son of the late George Wolfe and Violet (Dunmire) Wolfe.

Dan was a graduate of the former Heilwood High School. In addition to working with his family on the farm, Dan operated a landscaping business for many years. He also worked as a custodian for 26 years at IUP.

He loved to travel throughout the area. He was always busy and never stayed in one place for too long. He enjoyed going to Ag Day events and attending the Pennsylvania State Farm Show.

Dan is survived by his sisters, Dorene Wolfe, Penn Run; Gayle Snyder, Marilla, NY and sister-in-law, Ruby Wolfe, Penn Run. He is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Joyce (Snyder) Pomana, Alden, NY; Donna (Snyder) Brahaney, Palmer, AK; Mary (Wolfe) Orr, Penn Run; Violet (Wolfe) Clement, Penn Run; Sarah Smith, Blairsville; and Daniel Wolfe, Penn Run.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Floyd “Dick” Wolfe and Donna Arlene Wolfe.

Friends will be received Sunday evening, March 29th from 4 to 7 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. His funeral service will begin at 7 PM Sunday following the visitation hours at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Lockard will officiate. Interment will be held in the Harmony Cemetery, Penn Run.

In appreciation of the exemplary care Dan received in Hillsdale, his family is asking that memorial contributions be made to the Live Well Estate Personal Care Home, 167 Mountain View Lane, Marion Center, PA 15759.
