Elizabeth C. Perkovich Elizabeth C. Perkovich, 93, of Ernest, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Joseph M. Perkovich, who died January 22, 1963.

Born April 20, 1922 in Starford, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Julia Chernesky. Elizabeth was a homemaker. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection in Ernest. She was wonderful mother, caring grandmother and adoring great-­grandmother. She loved spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great-grandson. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. She enjoyed watching them on tv and listening to them on the radio. She also loved her cats.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Rebecca), of Indiana and Joseph, Jr. (Andrea), of Commodore. She is also survived by the following siblings: George Chernesky (JoLanna), Catherine Chernesky, Margaret Bohurjak, and Barbara Supra, all of Cleveland, OH. She also has 3 grandchildren, Lisa Perkovich and friend Joe DeBartolo, Stephanie Kline (Jason) and Joseph Perkovich, III. Great­-grandson, Cameron Kline, as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, and the following siblings: Julia Thachik, Joseph Chernesky, Helen Motyka, Anne Chernesky, Mary Thur and Dora Jerold, as well as step-grandson Jacob Kallal.

Friends will be received Tuesday, March 22 nd from 4 to 8 PM at the Rairigh-­Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest, Father Tony Klimko, celebrant. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
