Obituary for Gerda Wolfe (Matzner)
Gerda (Matzner) Wolfe, 84 of Heilwood, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at St. Andrews Village.
She was the daughter of Oskar and Marie (Petsch) Matzner, born on October 30, 1930 in Germany.
Gerda’s love of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook and loved to garden and travel. Gerda loved her homeland of Germany. She was very knowledgeable and knew her current events. Gerda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Paul and wife Angie (Veltre) Wolfe of TX; two sisters in Germany; three grandchildren; Jessica Tso, Scott Wolfe and Megan Wolfe; four great-grandchildren, Jasper and Junior Tso, Kylie and Lakyn Wolfe; and many nieces and nephews.
Gerda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Way Wolfe; one son, Harold “Charlie” Wolfe and one brother.
Family and friends will be received on Wedneday, March 25, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. Her funeral service will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
