Obituary for Glennabel Spiller (Dilts)
PrintA graduate of Marion Center High School, she had held several positions throughout her working career. She had been a bookkeeper and accountant, a school bus driver and was a cook in the Lee County Jail in Ft. Myers, FL. However her main job was that of a caring homemaker and mother.
She was an avid Bingo player. She also liked to play the card games, Skipbo and Spider Solitaire. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, along with sewing and crocheting. Glennabel liked passing time watching the cardinals outside her window and watching the ducks at her local park in Bella Vista. When she was able, she gave of herself whenever possible volunteering for local charities.
She is survived by her son, Tim Gernold & wife, Geneva, Bella Vista, AR; stepdaughter, Laura Gernold, Naples, FL and step-son Paul Gernold, Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by her 2nd husband, James Gernold.
In addition to her parents, Glennabel was preceded in death by her siblings: Nancy Roof, Jackie Askey and James Dilts. A half-sister, Winifred, and her first and third husbands, Carl Johnston and Carroll Spiller.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 20th from 3 – 6 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, NY.
