Obituary for Harold J. Campbell

Harold J. Campbell Sr. 88 of Indiana, PA., passed away on May 14, 2015 at his home.

He was the son of John T. and Anna (Hipps) Campbell, born on August 25, 1926 in New Washington, PA.

Harold loved gardening and the outdoors and working on cross word puzzles. He loved to talk and tell stories. Harold’s family was very important to him, his children and grandchildren were his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Annabelle L. (Sutter) Campbell of Indiana; his 12 children; Thomas Campbell and wife Sue of Indiana; Sharon Coy and husband Dave of Flinton, PA; Robert Campbell and wife Andrea of Stephens City, VA; Patricia States and husband Russell of Indiana; Harold J. Campbell Jr. and wife Helen of Lancaster; Deborah Holby and husband Ronald of Strongstown; Bonnie Mountain and husband Roy of Seward; Denice Altemus and husband Jeffery of Penn Run; John Campbell of Chambersburg; Charlie Campbell and wife Jolene of Ebensburg; Donald Campbell of Indiana; Scott Campbell of Warren, OH; 30 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Jessica; one great-great grandson, Bryce; three brothers, Robert, Thomas and George Campbell.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with his son-in-law, Dave Coy, officiant. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
