Obituary for Harry E "Sonny" Boyer

Harry E "Sonny"  Boyer
Harry Edward “Sonny” Boyer, 66, of Clymer, unexpectedly died at his home on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The son of Anna Marie (Blazavich) Boyer of Indiana and the late Harry Murray Boyer, he was born September 27, 1947 in Indiana.

During his working career, Sonny worked for several area coal mining companies, as well as Richards Sanitation, Sani-Fill and Waste Management.

Each summer he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, in addition to fixing old lawn mowers. Sonny was very family oriented. He always did whatever he could to help siblings and close friends. He had also been a social member of the Clymer American Legion.

He is survived by his siblings: Maryann Campbell, Clymer; Carol Shank & husband, Roy, Starford; Rose Hudak, Indiana; Cathy Richards & husband, Dennis, Deckers Point; Paul Boyer & wife, Carol, New Hampshire; John Boyer & wife, Laurie, Hillsdale; Barbara Garcia & husband, Albert, California; Ronald Boyer & wife, Mary, Marion Center; and Gary Boyer, Clymer.

He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and close friends.

In addition to his father who died in 1971, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Zazworsky, and Ida and Murray Boyer and a nephew, Paul Campbell.

Friends will be received Friday, March 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Saturday, March 15th at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. Rev. Fr. George Saletrik, Celebrant. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery in Clymer.
