Obituary for Irma Jane (Stumpf) Pennington (Ulery)

Irma Jane (Ulery) Stumpf Pennington, 77, of Dixonville, died at her home, Friday, September 23, 2016. Born March 29, 1939 in Stahlstown, Westmoreland County, she was a daughter of the late William and Iva (Marks) Ulery. She was married to Robert J. Stumpf, until his death in 1981. She was the widow of Ray Pennington, her second husband.

She attended Ligonier High School Irma then lived in Dixonville for most of her life. She was a member of Twolick Baptist Church.

She worked for Indiana Hospital for over 25 years, first as a dietary aide and later as a billing clerk for hospital administration. She also worked at Almost Home Daycare.

Irma is survived by her children: Robin Patterson and her husband George, of Dixonville; Christina Smith and her husband Ron, of Rayne Township; and Tammie Gelles and Steve Iffert, of Glen Campbell. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and six siblings: Ernest Ulery, Elizabeth Queer, Ira Ulery, Raymond Ulery, Margaret Ulery and Mary McGee.

There will be no service at this time. A private burial in Blairsville Cemetery will take place in the near future.
