Obituary for James O. Hawk

James Owen Hawk, 71, of Indiana, died at his home, Friday, December 4, 2015. Born in Indiana, July 3, 1944 he was a son of the late Cree Owen Hawk and Ethel Pauline (Heitzenrater) Hawk.

Jim was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 25 years, retiring December 10, 2001.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and spending time with his grandson, Espen.

Jim was a lifetime member of the NRA and the Indiana County Bow and Gun Club.

He is survived by his children: Scott Hawk; Steven Hawk, Brookville; Aryn Hawk, Indiana and Cristy White and husband, Stephen, Essexville, MI. Other survivors include: grandson, Espen White, Essexville, MI and siblings: Cree Eugene Hawk, Indiana; Ronald Hawk, Indiana and Judith Hawk, Homer City.

A private memorial service will be planned for a later date. The Hawk family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pennsylvania State Police.
