Obituary for John A. Meshanko

John A. Meshanko, 93, of Clymer, PA., passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home.

He was the son of Michael and Mary (Woytek) Meshanko, born on December 6, 1920 in Clymer, PA.

John was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. He loved to hunt and fish with his nephews and drove cars for Paul's used car lot in his retired years. John was a coal miner and worked for SWANK Refractory and Robertshaw. He was a special uncle that will be greatly missed.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years Helen M. (Zbignewich) Meshanko who passed away on December 26, 2013; seven brothers and sisters, Mary Slansky; Michael Meshanko; Anna (Bestvina) Balogh; Steve Meshanko; George Meshanko; Joseph Meshanko; and Eva Meshanko.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer followed by Johns funeral Mass being celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer with Fr. George Saletrik, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Church of the Resurrection cemetery, Clymer.
