Judith M. "Judy"  Kochman (Martz)
Judith “Judy” (Martz) Kochman, 65, of Indiana, died suddenly at her home in Indiana, Wednesday, September 16, 2015. The daughter of the late Lt. Col. Richard A. Martz and Alethea June Miller, she was born December 24, 1949 in Greensburg and was the wife of Joseph E. Kochman whom she married June 24, 1972.

Judy graduated from South Dade High School in Miami, FL. She graduated from IUP with a BS in Home Economics and studied in their Master’s program. She was a manager with Sears, having managed the Indiana store in the 1990s, as well as the stores in Altoona and Monroeville. Following her retirement, she worked for Hallmark until the time of her death.

Judy enjoyed golf, knitting, crocheting and going to the casino in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed spending winters in the south, especially Florida, with her husband Joe.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Clymer.

In addition to her husband of 43 years, she is survived by her children James J. Kochman and his wife Susan, of Lee's Summit, MO and Julie Soose and her husband Dr. Ryan Soose of Sewickley. She is also survived by her brothers Richard Martz and Roger Martz and his wife Colleen, all of Greensburg. And finally, by her seven grandchildren: Anna Kochman, Alex Kochman, Madelyn Kochman, Jacob Kochman and Aidan Soose, Tristan Soose and Lydia Soose and her niece Briana Martz and nephew Geoffrey Martz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received on Sunday, September 20th from 2-7PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Clymer. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 21 at 11AM at Church of the Resurrection, Clymer, Father George Saletrik, celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
