Obituary for Kathleen Lewis (Gardner)

Kathleen Gardner Lewis, 63, of Homer City, passed away at Scenery Hill Manor on May 5, 2014 after an extended illness. Kathy was born December 27, 1950 in Indiana. She was a daughter of the late Otis L. Gardner and Betty J. (Hill) Gardner.

The oldest of twelve children, she was a graduate of Homer Center High School and was of protestant faith. Kathy enjoyed going to BINGO, cooking, home decorating and spending time with her family.

Ms. Lewis married the late James R. Kovach and was then re-married to Kenneth Lewis.

Kathy is survived by her siblings: Joseph Gardner & wife, Jackie, Tunnelton; George Gardner, Indiana; Rich Gardner & fiancé, Ricky Weaver, Indiana; Nora Hancock & husband, Walt, Indiana; and Tammy Eiselman & husband, Ron, Indiana. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Terry Gardner, Sr.; Charles Gardner, Brian Gardner, Sr; Susan Taylor; Lugene Yount; and Rose Edwards. She was preceded by her great nephew, Justin Williamson, Jr. Kathleen was also preceded by her fiancé, Rick Vandivner.

There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment will be private and held at a later date.
