Obituary for Kathryn E. Foltz (McQuiston)
Kathryn E. Foltz, 85, of Indiana, formerly of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. Born January 9, 1928 in Girard, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Anna K. (Hastings) McQuiston.
She graduated from Liberty High School of Youngstown, Ohio in 1946. Kathryn married the late Kenneth R. “Ray” Foltz on July 30, 1949. She was employed by General Fireprooofing in Youngstown for seven years.
Kathryn was a lifelong member of Liberty United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and she was an avid reader.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter Linda Repine of Marion Center; grandchildren Lewis R. Foltz and wife Rachelle of Homer City, Gerald J. “Joe” Foltz and wife Angelina of Marion Center, and Anna K. Foltz of Indiana. Five great-grandchildren also survive her: Owen R. and Alexander J. Foltz, Joaquin S. and Wesley C. Foltz and Sienna J. Foltz. Numerous nieces and nephews, including beloved nieces Arlene Curran and Pam Sagy also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, her sister Ruth Hart, her brothers Clarence McQuiston, Warren “Barney” McQuiston, and Charles McQuiston, as well as her niece Barbara Ann Miller.
