Kathy Marie (Prushnok) Burba, 67, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Indiana Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A daughter of Raymond and Wilda (Raymer) Prushnok, she was born March 3, 1948, in Glen Campbell. Kathy spent her childhood and teenage years in the Los Angeles area, where she enjoyed carefree days in the sun and at the beach with her siblings and friends. In 1966, Kathy graduated from Torrance High School in Torrance, Calif., and shortly after graduation, she married and started a family.

Upon returning to western Pennsylvania in 1972, Kathy attended the Dubois Business College and, after her children were grown, worked as an administrative assistant at Penn Sat, a family business.

On Dec. 12, 1998, she married Chet Burba and together they enjoyed the blessing of being surrounded by their children, grandchildren and many other members of their extended family. Kathy was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving of herself to others. She took joy in attending to needs of her two daughters and five precious grandchildren. Kathy was passionate about organic gardening, health, nutrition, and healing through homeopathic means. Kathy was a devout Torah keeper and celebrated the Feasts of the Lord.

She leaves wonderful memories to be cherished by her faithful and loving husband, Chet Burba; daughters, Lisa (Murillo) Mitrov and Kara (Murillo) Romance and husband David, all of Indiana; grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Iseman and Anna, Callan and Joel Romance, all of Indiana; loving sisters, Christina Kelly, of Indiana, and Connie and her husband, Dennis O'Brien, of Punxsutawney; loving brothers John and his wife, Pat Prushnok, of Punxsutawney; Daniel and his wife, Kim Prushnok; and David Prushnok. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Rairigh- Bence Funeral Home, 965 Philadelphia St, Indiana.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1496 Indian Springs Road, White Township. Interment will follow at Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale.
