Lilia Perotti
Lilia Perotti, 92, of Creekside, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Communities at Indian Haven. Born in the town of Castellamonte, Torino, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giacomo Perotti and Olimpia (Scevola) Perotti. Lilia was the widow of Anthony Perotti who died December 27, 1996. Her brothers fought with the Italian Resistance movement, so Lilia helped her parents work the family farm. By the grace of God and with much prayer, the family survived the war without serious injury. These events helped Lilia to develop a strong faith with a special devotion to St Rita.

In 1953, Lilia became a US citizen and as she often mentioned to her son, she was both proud and honored to be a citizen of the greatest nation on earth

Lilia was a homemaker, working at home to care for her family. She was a member of the Creekside Homemakers Club. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Resurrection in Ernest, formerly the Church of the Assumption, where she belonged to the Alter Rosary Society; she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Bernard’s Court.

She will also be remembered by her special nieces, Flora Arduini & husband, Ken, Clune; Gladys Smith, Boston, nephew Peter Perotti & wife Margo, Butler; and by numerous nieces and nephews living in Italy. Lilia will also be missed by her beloved dog, Brady.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Enrico Perotti, Elio Perotti, Marta Mezzanatto and Maria Zucca.
