Obituary for Margaret C. Bush

Margaret C. Bush
Margaret C. Bush, 86, of Indiana, died Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Communities at Indian Haven. With courage and grace, Margaret battled cancer for three years. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Beryl Bush, who died in 2000, her parents and siblings Anthony Ciranni , Francis Ciranni and Carmela Murphy.

Born, 1929 in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Arone) Ciranni. She graduated from Laurel Lamar High School in Homer City.

Margaret, who was deeply loved by her family and friends, always sacrificed herself in order to be generous with her time and resources for others. Prior to becoming a mother and homemaker, Margaret worked as a secretary at Brody's Department store. After raising her family, she worked as a teacher's aide for ARIN IU for nearly 20 years.

Margaret's passion for life centered around her family first. An extraordinary cook and baker, many were the recipients of the nearly 300 dozen cookies she would bake each Christmas season. When taking time for herself, Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed walking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also looked forward to spending her winter months in Florida. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Margaret is survived by her children Dr. Bruce Bush and his wife Carole of Indiana, PA; Charlene Yendell and her husband Cary of West Monterey, PA; and Barbara Miller and her husband William of Indiana, PA. She is survived by her brother, Robert Ciranni (Eleanor) of Homer City, PA; brothers-in-law: C. Richard Bush (Helen) of Graceton, PA; James Bush (Linda) of Raleigh, NC; and George Bush (Cindy) of Indiana, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Andrew Bush (Courtney) of Nashville, TN; Stephanie Ewing of Pittsburgh, PA; Jenna Seiling (Brett) of Dayton, OH; Bradley Yendell (partner Christine Stallard) of Bel Air, MD; Katie Armour of Philadelphia, PA; Joseph Armour (Jodi) of Charleston, SC; step-grandchildren: Tonya Gerety of Lancaster, PA; Kollyne Wetzel of Shrewsbury, PA; and Renee Jones (Pete) of Indiana, PA. Her great-grandchildren include Jude Bush; Scott and Sarah Seiling; Holly Yendell; Blake Stallard; Ronnie Jones; Reilly and Devin Gerety; Ella, Sophia and Jack Wetzel; and Hagen and Lennon Jones.

Friends will be received at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana on Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. There will be a brief visitation at Calvary Presbyterian Church at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am with the Rev. David Hanna presiding.
