Obituary for Margaret (Balitski) Horchar (Woytek)
Margaret L. (Woytek) Balitski Horchar, 87 of Indiana, formerly of Clymer, died Thursday, January 14th , 2016 at the Beacon Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Indiana. The daughter of the late Joseph Woytek and Susan (Potochick) Woytek, she was born in Arcadia, May 28, 1928. Margaret was widowed from two husbands: Henry Balitski, who died October 19, 1981 and Andrew Horchar, who died August 10, 2006.
Margaret was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the Indiana Elks Auxiliary and the Indiana Hospital Auxiliary. Margaret was also a hospital volunteer.
She loved to go bowling and enjoyed playing cards when not rooting for the Penguins, however her greatest joy was caring for her family where she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She will be remembered by her children: Robert Balitski & wife, Paige, Scranton; Kenneth Balitski & wife, Tammy, Indiana; Dennis Balitski & wife, Chris, Monument, CO; Mary Anne Gratosky & husband, Stanley, Homer City; and Dr. Thomas Balitski & wife, Marci, Beaver, PA. Other survivors include her five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Woytek.
Friends will be received Saturday, January 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and again on Sunday, January 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. The C.D of A. will conduct a Rosary Service at 3:30PM Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 18th at 10 AM at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Interment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
