Obituary for Margaret E. Richardson (Thachik)

Margaret E. (Thachik) Richardson, 90, of Clymer, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Clymer on September 21, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John Thachik and Agnes (Hritcko) Thachik.

On September 12, 1994 she was widowed from her beloved husband, Norman H. Richardson.

Margaret was a homemaker and member of Christ Our Savior Orthodox Catholic Church, Clymer.

She is survived by step-sons: Norman T. “Terry” Richardson and wife, Charlotte, Elk View, WV and Gary Richardson, and his Friend, Shirley, Clymer. She is also survived by four step grandchildren, many step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by the following siblings: John Thachik, Jr.; George Thachik; Steve Thachik; Michael Thachik; Andrew Thachik; Joseph Thachik; Mary Zelinko and Anna Horvath.

Friends will be received from 10AM – 12 Noon on Saturday, February 28th at the Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, 6768 Tanoma Road, Indiana. Her funeral service will begin at noon Saturday following the visitation hours at the church. The Very Rev. Archpriest George Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Clymer. Funeral arrangements are with the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, 6768 Tanoma Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
