PrintShe was the daughter of Lawrence C. and Margaret I. (Crilley) Muller, born on October 7, 1933 in Indiana, PA.
Margie was a life-long resident of Indiana where she and her husband of 63 years, Stanley made their home and raised their family. She was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church.
Margie found great joy in being a full-time homemaker but also enjoyed other adventures in life from several trips out West with her husband to riding a rickshaw in Tokyo to kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland on her 70th birthday. She also treasured the simpler pleasures of baking homemade buns, crocheting, playing cards with friends, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
Margie’s heart and devotion in life was for her faith and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley D. Spence of Indiana; her children, Mary Louise Giles and husband Paul of Waltersburg, PA; William Spence and wife Sandra (Smith) of Plum Borough; Kathleen Kimmel and husband Glenn of Shelocta; Sandra Morris and husband John of Indiana and Beverly McGinnis and husband Brook of Indiana, PA; Sisters, Barbara McKee and Rosemary Buchshaw and husband James both of Indiana, PA; brothers, James Muller and wife Joanne of Myrtle Beach, SC and Joseph Muller and wife Doris of Indiana, PA; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Regina Dietrick.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home Indiana, PA. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church with Fr. William Kiel as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
