Obituary for Margaret Yevchak (Gaydos)

Margaret  Yevchak (Gaydos)
Margaret (Gaydos) Yevchak, 85, of Commodore, PA., passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.

She was the daughter of George and Helen (Prusak) Gaydos, born on December 20, 1927 in Heilwood, PA.

Margaret was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer and also a member of the Christian Mothers. With her husband they owned and operated the Starford Inn from 1947 until 1990. Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and and listening to polkas on Sunday. She also was a Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler fan and an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan; especially during the 1960’s.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Albert Yevchak of Commodore; three children, Joseph A. and wife Cleo of Commodore; Robert G. and wife Mary Jane of Indiana; Kathleen Yevchak of Commodore; four grandchildren, Melinda Ann Knapp and husband Joseph, Lecinda Yevchak and husband Matt Burnheimer, Laura Yevchak and husband Cory Fulmer and Andrea Yevchak.

Margaret is also survived by her beloved dog Charlie.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, George, John and Michael; three sisters, Ann Zedack, Mary Janosko and Helen Galinsky; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Yevchak.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer with Fr. Timothy Krupthaupt as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Starford.
