Obituary for Marie Edith Krevel (Dumm)

Marie Edith (Dumm) Krevel, 95, formerly of Penn Run, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home. She was the widow of Henry Paul Krevel who died April 24, 2007.

Born April 1, 1921 in Barr Township, Cambria County, she was the daughter of Lewis Dumm and Gertrude (Weiland) Dumm.

Marie was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood. She enjoyed working on puzzles, canning, raising her vegetable garden at home, cooking, traveling in her RV, being with her family and caring for her family.

She is survived by her children: Judy Jones and husband, Edward, Homer City; Henry Krevel, Naperville, IL; Carol Wisor and husband, Richard, Homer City; and Theresa Pease and husband, Gary, Indiana. Her surviving grandchildren are: Chris Jones (Courtney); Kevin Jones (Kym); Rich Wisor(Angela); Erica Wisor and Gary Lee Pease. Her great grandchildren are: Tilia; Jameson; Ava and Kensington. Marie is also survived by siblings: Edward Dumm, of Nicktown; Theresa Yeager, of Patton; and, Mary Ann Weinzierl, of Johnstown.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by the following siblings: Louise Dumm; Harry Dumm; Sr. Helen Marie Dumm; Rose Strenko; Grace Miller; Margaret Farabaugh and George Dumm, as well as her great-granddaughter, Cailin Wisor

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 24th from 4 – 7 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Clymer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 25th at 11 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood. Interment will be St. Patrick’s Cemetery at Camerons Bottom.
