Obituary for Mary Jane Cochran (Croyle)

Mary Jane Cochran, 80, of Homer City, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Buffington Township, Indiana County, April 29, 1936, she was a daughter of the late, Harry John Croyle and Rosella Mae (Johnson) Croyle. Mary was the wife of James J. Cochran. They were married June 5, 1953 and had recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Mary enjoyed crocheting and caring for her family. She was an avid clock collector.

In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her children: Sueann Lewis and her husband Randy, Northern Cambria; James Cochran and his wife Jackie, Brush Valley; and Ronald Cochran and his wife Sue, Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and her great niece Brenda Graham and husband Bill; and longtime caregiver Rose Mano.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Annie Lampman; and brothers Harry Croyle Jr. and Samuel Croyle. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be held at the family’s convenience at the Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery. The Cochran family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana.
