Obituary for Maxine Previte

Maxine Elizabeth Previte, 85 of Indiana, passed away at her home on Monday, September 2, 2013. Maxine was the daughter of Russell and Louise (Baker) Kramp and was born on August 31, 1928 in Homer City, PA. She was a graduate of Indiana High School and the Hammond Beauty School of Johnstown.

Maxine was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was very devoted to her family, her faith and her church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and assisted with Mercy Meals and church dinners. She never refused an opportunity to help anyone who needed it.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Aurelius Previte; four sons, all from Indiana: Francis & wife, Merry; John & wife, Linda; Joseph & friend, Susan; and Raymond. She is also survived by her only daughter, Mary Louise (Sis) Moorhead & husband, Dennis of Indiana. Maxine was a grandmother to ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Samuel and a great grandson, James Previte.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 5th at 10 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Rev. Thomas Federline will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: VNA/Hospice of Indiana County, Medical Arts Building, Suite 3000, 850 Hospital Rd., Indiana, PA 15701, or to the Alzheimer’s Association by visiting www.alz.org .
