Obituary for Michael J. Howard

Michael J.  Howard
Michael Joseph Howard, 55, of Indiana, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at UPMC, Altoona. Born in Pittsburgh on January 24, 1959, he is the son of Gerald E. Howard of Indiana and the late Mary Constance (Kane) Howard. Always looking for the next adventure, the family knows Michael is now on the greatest adventure ever!

Mike attended Indiana High School and IUP, earning an Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology. He was part owner in several business adventures and worked at Colonial Motor Mart in Automotive Sales.
He attended St. Thomas More University Parish.

Michael was passionate about fishing, always catching the biggest catch and this is no fish tale! He also loved boating, golf with his father, Brother Sean and nephews Stephen and Sean, board games, and was a nature enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his father, his wonderful children, son Michael and daughter Kellie, both of Indiana, siblings: Tracey Howard, Sandra Howard - Wilson both of Indiana and Sean Howard of Bellingham, Washington. The following nieces and nephews also survive him: Jennifer Wilson of Wakefield, Rhode Island; Stephen Wilson of Indiana; and Sean M. Howard of Indiana.

A visitation will be held at held at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana, 965 Philadelphia Street on Wednesday, July 2 from 6-8PM, followed by a memorial service at 8PM.
