Obituary for Nancy Ann Maloney (Bruno)

Nancy Ann (Bruno) Maloney, 95, of Indiana, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born in Aultman, October 22, 1919 she was a daughter of the late, Joseph John Bruno and Pietronella (Isaia) Bruno. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Maloney who proceeded her in death in 2006.

She and her husband, Joseph, owned Maloney’s Laundromat, Indiana. Nancy worked at the business for 52 years until her retirement on April 1, 2014. Even after retirement, Nancy could still be seen working at the laundromat through the Spring of 2015.

She was a hard working woman who was always busy caring for her family, her church and her business. Nancy was a devoted member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church where she faithfully attended mass each morning. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughter’s of America and a past Grand Region. In addition to her church membership, Nancy was a longtime member of the Indiana Elks Lodge 931.

She is survived by her children: Anthony Maloney & wife, Barbara, Manassas, VA; Petronilla (Picky) Amantia & husband, Philip, Williamsville, NY and Nancy Andromalos & husband, Kenneth, Murrysville, PA. She is survived by eight grandchildren: Nina Carozza and husband Joseph of Murrysville PA, Katrina Smith of Bristow VA, Philip Amantia and wife Loredana of Phoenix AZ, Joseph Amantia and wife Jackie of Laveen, AZ ; Michael Andromalos and wife Laura of Boston MA, Matthew Andromalos and fiancée Alexandra Gredence of Pittsburgh, David Andromalos of Pittsburgh and Nicholas Andromalos of Murrysville PA, eight great grandchildren: Courtney and Brooke Smith, Nathan and Gianna Carozza, Massimo and Gabriella Amantia and Angelo and Dominic Amantia and the following sisters-in-law: Anne Sacco, Homer City; Kathryn Prymak, Texas and Elvira Bruno, Denver, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph to whom she was married for 63 years and the following siblings: Anthony Bruno, Carolyn Galzerano; Josephine Bruno and Mary (Bruno) Recupero.

Visitation will be held Tuesday,September 8th from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. The Catholic Daughters of America will recite the Rosary at 3:30, Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11:30 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
