Obituary for Patricia A. Davies (Carbaugh)

Patricia A. (Carbaugh) Davies, 79 of Homer City, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Moorehead House, Indiana, PA.

She was the daughter of Rolland J. and Valerie (Day) Carbaugh, born February 28, 1934 in Punxsutawney, PA.

Pat was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. She was an organist for over 60 years and a school teacher in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She spent 16 years working for the Teamsters Union in Reading, PA before coming to Indiana, PA to retire. Pat enjoyed reading and the companionship of her loyal dogs. She also directed the Polish Heritage Choir in Johnstown for several years.

She is survived by two children, Susan Mayer of Homer City, PA; Brad and wife Maryann of Bridgewater, NJ; one sister, Sally Shingledecker of Philipsburg, PA; one brother, Richard Day Carbaugh and wife Ida of Marion Center, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Phyllis Altman.

A memorial will be held for family and friends on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at noon at the Church of the Resurrection in Clymer. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer is handling the arrangements.

Pat’s family would like to thank Moorehead House and VNA Hospice for all their loving care of Pat.
