Obituary for Patricia A. Patterson (Shaffer)

Patricia A. (Shaffer) Patterson, 77, of Clymer, PA., passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.

She was the daughter of Charles and Florence (Anderson) Shaffer, born on July 17, 1936 in Clymer, PA.

Patricia was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Twolick Dr. Indiana and also a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 2389, Clymer and the F.O.E. Lodge 1468, Indiana. She loved to play bingo and watch Nascar. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence D. Patterson Sr. of Clymer; seven children, Lawrence Patterson Jr. and wife Katie; Melodie Bried and husband Don; Charles Patterson and wife Pam; Darla Doyle and husband Jay; Vickie Johnson and husband Charlie; Terry Patterson and wife Kim and Wilma (Sis) Patterson; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; five sisters, Catherine Sexton and husband Ralph; Shirley Sexton and husband Ronald; Janet Sexton and husband George; Linda Steffey and husband Gary; Connie Shaffer; two brothers, Charles Shaffer and wife Jean and Larry Shaffer and wife Helen.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church on Twolick Dr. Indiana, PA. Interment will be private.
