Obituary for Ronald James Henry

Ronald James  Henry
Ronald James Henry, 77, of Washington and formerly of Indiana, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. A son of the late William Roland Henry and Alfreda (Bishop) Henry, he was born February 2, 1937 in Coalport.

During his career, Ronald worked for: Season All Windows and Doors, and the R&P Coal Company, both of Indiana. He also worked for Alcad Metal Crafters in Washington, PA.

Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed target shooting and hunting both small and large game. He was also an amateur military historian. He served in the U.S. Army in the years following the Korean War.

He is survived by his only son, William Roland Henry, Indiana. His three granddaughters are: Kayla M., Justine P. and Courtney L. Henry, all of Indiana. Surviving siblings are: Benjamin Henry, Ormond Beach, FL; Barbara Smith, MD; Naomi Anderson, San Diego, CA; Helen Foote, DE; Judy Johnson, MD; Sandra Anderson, Altoona; William R. Henry, Jr., of PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Merle G. Henry.

Friends will be received Friday, March 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. His funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday, March 22nd at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Inc. of Indiana. Burial will be in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.
