Obituary for Shirley Jean McNamara (MacDonald)
Shirley Jean (MacDonald) McNamara, 85 of Papillion, NE and formerly of Indiana died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Cottages where she had been residing. Born in Alpena, MI on February 10, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Andrew MacDonald and Ruth (Ziem) MacDonald.
She was the widow of Patrick J. McNamara, her husband of 52 years who died March 15, 2008.
Shirley was a former school teacher at Elderton Elementary School. She retired after teaching for over thirty years.
She enjoyed playing bridge and organizing cooking clubs that prepared theme dinners.
Shirley is survived by her son, Sean McNamara, of Papillion, NE and sister Virginia Anderson of Anacortes, WA.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM, the time of her funeral service Monday, July 27 at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Entombment will be made at the Mausoleum at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
