Obituary for William E. Carley

William E.  Carley
William Eugene Carley, 65, of Indiana died at his home January 9, 2015. Born in Indiana September 22, 1949, he was the son of Fred and Ruth (Donahue) Carley. He was the husband of Diane (Fulmer) Carley, whom he married October 13, 1972.

William was a member of the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church. He was employed in the maintenance department of Indiana Area School District until 1996.

William loved God. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, hunting and following NASCAR races. He loved his dog, Candie. He always enjoyed driving on little trips, mowing, woodworking and making things.

The family would like to express their appreciation to VNA Hospice, particularly Debbie Shoop who assisted the family throughout Bill’s illness.

He is survived by his wife Diane and by his children Scot A. Carley of Indiana and Lisa R. McNaughton and her husband, E.G., of Williamsport. The following siblings also survive him: Dorothy Rohaurer, of New York; Robert Carley, of New Mexico; and Betty Yancey, of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his granddaughters Karlee & Payton McNaughton and step-granddaughter, Ashley McNaughton. He will also be remembered by his special friends, Bob and Sandra Slater of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ron Carley; and sisters Pat Painter and Sandra Blair.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 12th from 12- 1PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana, with the funeral service beginning at 1, Rev. Joseph Smith officiating. Interment will be in Ruffner Cemetery.

Donations may be sent to the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, 965 Philadelphia St. Indiana, PA 15701 to assist the family with expenses.
