Obituary for William J. "Bill" Miconi
William J. "Bill" Miconi, 79, formerly of Ernest, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at UPMC- Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born, June 24, 1937 in Ernest, he was a son of Samuel and Mary (Zeli) Miconi.
He was an Indiana High School graduate and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned a Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri.
William was an Engineer in the Air Force, retiring as a Major after serving 20 years.
He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Ernest.
William is survived by sisters Gloria Ann “Toni” Singleton, of Cypress, California and Rita Kowchuck, of Ernest. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers: Matthew, Samuel, John, Robert, and Frankie and by sisters: Eleanora Dellafiora, Florence Sdao, Mary Ellen Suschak, and Dora Hodak.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 17th from 8:30-10AM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest, Father Anthony Klimko, celebrant. Interment with full military honors will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
