Obituary for Winifred Y. Staff (Brickell)
Winifred “Winnie” Y. (Brickell) Staff, 93, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 while visiting her family in Arizona.
She was born in Gipsy, May 20, 1922 to the late Ney Brickell and Gae (Buchanan) Brickell.
Winifred was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She worked for Bell Telephone in Indiana for over 35 years until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed baking, line dancing with the Silver Spurs, and traveling to her homes in Florida and Arizona.
Winnie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana.
She is survived by her son, David P. Staff and his fiancé Donna D. Adamson of Aultman; daughter, Vonnie S. Adamsky and her husband, Frank A. of Apache Junction, AZ; granddaughter, Rachel A. Glick and her husband, Matthew D. of Gilbert, AZ; grandson, David J. Staff and his wife, Heather M. of Maricopa, AZ; great grandchildren, Logan Staff, Kalaya Glick, Ryleigh Staff, Elysia Glick and Natalya Glick; brother, Joseph Brickell, Greenville, PA; several brother and sister in-laws and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Pete Staff, who died April 17, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Lois Chesko, Gloria Karstetter and Richard Brickell.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Winnie's niece, Lisa Gordish for her care and support during this trying time.
Friends will be received Friday, February 26th from 1 – 3 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Kathy Mihoerck will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery,
