Yvonne Eileen (Taylor) Foster, 77 of Brush Valley Township, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born in Indiana, PA on August 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Florence K. (Smith) Taylor.

She was a 1954 graduate of Indiana High School and also from the Indiana Business College. She then worked for McCreary Tire and Rubber Company in Indiana and the Pennsylvania State Employment Agency in Bellefonte. For several years, she had also worked privately for families who needed help with domestic work in their homes.

Yvonne was a member of the Brush Valley United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and the United Methodist Women’s Group. She had previously been a member of the Brush Valley Homemakers and was a former Den Mother for the Brush Valley Cub Scouts.

Yvonne enjoyed her role as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, V. Glenn Foster, whom she married August 10, 1960. Her sons are: Brian D. Foster, Duncannon, PA; Keith E. Foster & wife, Jeanne, Mechanicsburg; and Roger S. Foster & wife, Tracy, Mill Hall. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Mark Foster & fiancé, Alisha Dickey; and Erik, Emily, Mallory and Abby Foster. Her surviving brothers are: Donald W. Taylor, South Park, PA and Bruce C. Taylor, Polk City, FL. Her aunt, Lois Anderson, Indiana, PA also survives her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters: Louise M. & Lisa M. Foster. She was also preceded by her brothers: John C. Taylor and Blair E. Taylor.

The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana is handling the service arrangements. A memorial service will be planned for the Spring of 2014.
