Obituary for James Delmont "Del" Rushton

James Delmont “Del” Rushton, 77, of Dixonville, PA., died Saturday, July 03, 2010, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of James H. Rushton and Martha E. (Lambing) Rushton Krolick, born on December 24, 1932 in Idamar.

Del married his loving wife on June 7, 1958, the former Lillian Sgriccia and they happily shared over 50 years together.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Del also enjoyed his yearly buck hunting with best friend Carl Hughmanic and hanging out with his buddies, Earl Wolfe and Tony Hughmanic.

Del is survived by his wife, Lillian (Sgriccia) Rushton, of Dixonville; three children, George of Dixonville and wife Susie (Wolfe) of Plumville; Jim (Lefty) of Dixonville and Pam Small and husband Dan of Gipsy; four grandchildren, William Rushton and fiancé Mandy Craft; Joe Rushton and fiancé Crystal Rice; Mike Rushton and wife Keri (Bash) and Anne Small; four great-grandchildren, Dannie Schleicher; Amber, Jeremiah and Mark Rushton; two brothers, Charles (Buck) Rushton and Joe (Ken) Krolick and wife Carol; two sisters, Dollie Peles and Betty Strickland; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Krolick and one sister, Shirley Yuhasz.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer with Rev. Timothy Kruthaupt as celebrant. Interment will be private.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Indiana Regional Medical Center and Beacon Ridge Nursing Home for their care over the past months.
