Obituary for James William "Jim" Stotsky

James William “Jim” Stotsky, 82, of Indiana, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his home. Born in Hastings, PA on March 25, 1931, he was a son of the late. Francis Stotsky and Leona (Grudzinski) Stotsky.
He married the former Marlene Yerger on November 21, 1959. They were married just one day shy of 54 years.

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He later worked as a carpenter for Westinghouse where he retired after nearly 40 years of service.

He enjoyed wood working and made many projects for his family and friends. He also was an avid sports fan who shared his love of baseball as a coach with the Indiana Little League.

Jim was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church. Socially he held memberships with the Indiana Elks and Optimist Clubs.

In addition to his wife, Marlene, he is survived by his two children: James L. Stotsky & friend, Bernadette Michelone, Altoona and Loretta M. Bobbitt & husband, Jeffrey, Navarre, FL. His grandchildren are: Sara Stotsky; Michael & Jenna Bobbitt; and Christopher, Scott and Matthew Michelone.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings: Regina Shutty, Frances Milchak; Joseph Stotsky, Francis Stotsky, Margaret Stavish and Edward Stotsky.

Visitation will be Friday, November 22nd from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana Little League, P.O. Box 793, Indiana, PA 15701.
