My heart is heavy from the recent loss of my nieces Carol Dick and now Judy Skubis. I'm sorry that I cannot attend the funeral but thankful to have seen Judy and family members at Carols' funeral in Ohio. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Many fond memories are locked in my heart forever. Rest in peace.

My sympathies to each of you in Judy's and Carol's family. Since 1959, when Judy and I met as freshmen at IUP, we have been friends. After college, it has mostly been a long-distance friendship. We wrote, emailed; and visited occasionally. We shared details about our teaching jobs, and about our families. No matter how much time had gone by, we could talk and laugh and share concerns. Judy was sincere, caring, and fun. I will truly miss my dear friend.
